# TVAlertsManager

This document details the steps for the installation and use of TVAlertsManager.

# Requirements

This page details the requirements for the installation of TVAlertsManager onto at system.

## Requirements:

The requirements for installing TVAlertsManager onto your computer are listed below.

## Compatible Browser:

TVAlerts Manager works with any Chromium based browser.  TVAlertsManager commonly works with the following browsers without issue:

* **Google Chrome**
* **Brave Browser**
* **Microsoft Edge.**

However TVAlertsManager will work with any **Chromium** based browser, yet is not guaranteed to work with any other browser at this time.&#x20;

It is recommended for new users to use one of the three browsers listed above for ease of use and support.  It is also recommended to turn *OFF* any add-blocking extensions that may interfere with TVAM.

## Google Account

TVAlerts Manager works with Google Sheets to store and edit alerts. Therefore a Google account is required.  Any Google account can be used, creating a new Google Account is optional but recommended.

Please note: TVAlerts Manager does not collect any data about the Google account.

## TradingView Account with a valid Essential, Plus or Premium subscription:

For new users just starting out, it is always recommended to start with the Plus plan as that allows for up to 100 server-side alerts.  It is always possible to upgrade to the Premium plan allowing 400 non-expiring alerts when they reach the 100 alert quota and require more alerts, or non-expiring alerts.  The Essential and Plus plans only allow alerts for a duration of 3 months before they expire and need to be started again.  TVAlertsManager can assist to re-fresh these expiring alerts when linked with either the Essentials or Plus plans, so long as TVAlertsManager is used to reload all alerts prior to the expiry timestamp.  When reloading alerts regularly, such as monthly, alerts can always be relied upon to trigger.

A TradingView user can always upgrade to a higher plan, on reaching their plan’s alert quota when requiring more alerts, or upgrade to the Premium plan when wanting non- expiring alerts.

**NOTE: TradingView’s free ‘Basic plan’ with only 1 alert, is not suitable for TVAlertsManager use.**

## **TradingView account using English language only**

TVAlertsManager currently supports English only.  Attempting to use TVAlertsManager with TradingView or a browser not set to English, will not work.  TVAlertsManager may add support for other languages in the future.  Contact us to express interest in what language is wanted.

## **The browser must be navigated to a TradingView account’s chart URL to function**

TVAlertsManager will not provide any functionality if the browser’s URL is not currently displaying a TradingView chart.  **The browser URL must contain [www.tradingview.com/chart/](http://www.tradingview.com/chart/)...**

## The user knows how to create and edit TradingView alerts.


# Google Spreadsheet Prerequisite

How to create a spreadsheet to use for TVAlertsManager.

TVAlertsManager stores your TradingView alerts using Google storage via a Google Sheet.  This means a Google Sheet is needed to be accessible to the TVAlertsManager extension.  We recommend creating a new Google Sheet for this purpose.  While it is possible to use an existing Google Sheet, it is not advised.  These instructions assume creation of a new Google Sheet.

## How to create the Spreadsheet:

Ensure the Google Account that will store the TVAlertsManager spreadsheet is signed in.

This is easily confirmed by go to <http://google.com/> and the familiar account profile icon appears in the top right of the web-page.  Clicking on the profile icon will display a pop-up showing the Google account currently logged in.  The spreadsheet will be created on the Google Drive associated with the Google Account that is currently signed in..

**Step 1:** Head over to <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/>, then click the "+" sign to start a new blank spreadsheet as seen below.

Google Sheets will create a new blank spreadsheet and display it ready for editing, etc.

**Step 2:** Google has the requirement that prior to being able to share a Google Sheet, it must have a file name other than the default name ‘Untitled spreadsheet’.  Therefore rename the new blank Google Sheet to a descriptive name.

Click on the name field containing ‘Untitled spreadsheet’ found in the top-left corner of the window, then type a descriptive name, such as in this guide the Google Sheet is renamed to ‘TVAlerts’. Afterwards typing the new name either press the \<enter> key, or click anywhere on the sheet to complete renaming the Google Sheet.

As seen below, the spreadsheet is renamed to the title that has been entered.

**Tip:** Name the Google Sheet appropriately, so you can find it later easily.

**Step 3:** (optional) Tip: Bookmarking the spreadsheet will allow finding the spreadsheet again easier. To bookmark the Google Sheet, press \<CTRL> + \<D> to open the bookmark pop-up, or click the browser’s bookmark icons (typically an icon of a star on the same row as the browser’s URL bar), as shown below following the numbered tasks 1 & 2:

**Step 4:** The Google Sheet created needs to be accessible using the Google Drive Sharing option.  To share the new TVAlerts Google Sheet, click on the ‘File’ menu, click on the ‘Share’ menu, then click on the menu option ‘Share with others’ as in the example below following the numbered tasks 1, 2 & 3:

**Step 5:** In the Google Sheet Sharing pop-up window, click on the ‘down arrow’ (drop-down control box) labelled as ‘Restricted’, then select from the drop-down list ‘Anyone with the link’, then click on the ‘Done’ button, as in the example below following the numbered tasks 1 & 2:

The Sharing pop-up dialogue will change to show new options by revealing a new drop-down list used to define sharing permissions.

Click on the drop-down list arrow containing the word ‘Viewer’, then select ‘Editor’.\
Finally click on the ‘Done’ button, as in the example below:

**Step 6:** Click on the ‘Copy link’ button located in the bottom left corner of the 'Share TVAlerts' pop-up window.  This will copy the 'access URL' of the Google Spreadsheet to the clipboard as it will be needed later to enter into TVAlertsManager Chrome extension in the setup process.

Pasting this link into an empty notepad file may be helpful, if you use the clipboard frequently.


# Chrome Extension

How to create a spreadsheet to use for TVAlertsManager.

This section explains installing the TVAlerts Manager Chrome extension.

**Step 1:** Within Google Chrome, open the URL <https://install.tvalertsmanager.com/>, then click the "Add to Chrome" button on the web-page that appears, as will appear like in the example below:

**Step 2:** Google Chrome will prompt you to confirm the installation of the TVAlerts Manager extension. Click on the “Add extension” button as in the example below:

**Step 3:**  Pinning the TVAlerts Manager  Extension

TVAlertsManager needs to be pinned to the Address-bar to be accessible while on the TradingView site.  To pin TVAlerts Manager, click on the ‘Extensions’ icon  to open the drop-down listing the installed extensions, then click on the ‘Pin’ icon.  The TVAlerts Manager icon appears on the Address-bar.  The left image below shows the steps while the right image below shows the result.

# TVAlertsManager Extension Installation

This section explains installing the TVAlertsManager Chrome extension.

When using Google Chrome, follow the steps below:

**Step 1:** Within Google Chrome, open the URL <https://install.tvalertsmanager.com/>, then click the "Add to Chrome" button on the web-page that appears, as will appear like in the example below:

**Step 2:** Google Chrome will prompt you to confirm the installation of the TVAlertsManager extension.  Click on the “**Add extension**” button as in the example below:

**Step 3:** TVAlertsManager needs to be pinned to the Address-bar to be accessible while on the TrandingView site.  To pin TVAlerts Manager, click on the ‘Extensions’ icon to open the drop-down listing the installed extensions, then click on the ‘Pin’ icon.  The TVAlertsManager icon appears on the Address-bar.  The 1st image below shows the steps taken, while the following image below shows the result.

That is it for now!  TVAlertsManager is now installed but needs to be setup.\

# Accessing TVAlertsManager

How to access TVAlertsManager.

## How to access TVAlertsManager:

As previously explained in the Installation Requirements section, for TVAlertsManager to function, the Chrome browser must be currently navigated to a TradingView account’s chart URL.  \
If the browser’s URL does not contain “[www.tradingview.com/chart/\[...8](http://www.tradingview.com/chart/\[...8) character chart string...]”, TVAlertsManaer will not function.

Always be sure prior to attempting to use TVAlertsManager that the URL is open to[ https://www.tradingview.com/chart/](https://www.tradingview.com/chart/)... and is displaying a chart.

Operation of the TVAlertsManager Chrome extenson is blocked on websites other than TradingView.

When the URL <mark style="color:red;">does not</mark> contain “[www.tradingview.com/chart/\[...8](http://www.tradingview.com/chart/\[...8) character chart string...]”, the following is shown when attempting to open TVAlertsManager.

## Notes and Assumptions:

* This guide assumes users know how to create and correctly name TradingView alerts, therefore no instruction on creating TradingView alerts exists in this document.\
  Please refer to the TradingView Alerts documentation found [here](https://www.tradingview.com/support/categories/alerts/).
* It is assumed TVAlerts Manager has been correctly configured where the extension has been activated, a valid (may be blank or empty) Google Sheet exists for use by TVAlerts Manager, the Google Sheet has the correct permissions set, with the correct Google ‘Spreadsheet ID’ and ‘Sheet name’ is set in TVAlerts Manager’s Setting tabs.&#x20;
* The browser is currently at the correct TradingView chart URL and the chart is visible.
* TVAlerts Manager will not be able to load more TradingView alerts than the TradingView account’s plan permits.  If this is attempted, TradingView & TVAlertsManager will report an error.
* TVAlertsManager will not function correctly, if attempting to save TradingView alerts when no TradingView alert is present.  Ensure there is at least one TradingView alert present before attempting to use the ‘Save Alerts” function.
* All TradingView alerts must have an ‘Alert name’ set for TVAlerts Manager to process the alert correctly.  Any TradingView alerts without a name will not be processed.

If TVAlertsManager is added to your browser and opened on a TradingView chart **that was opened prior to the TVAlertsManager extension being installed,** a refresh / reload of the TradingView chart web-page is needed, otherwise an error is generated.   Simply refresh the TradingView chart web-page (eg using CTRL+R on the keyboard or click the 'Reload' button on the Address-bar), the extension will reload the data and gather the TradingView ID, Subscription type and expiry date.

Once a TradingView subscription is confirmed, progress to the Initial TVAlertsManager Extension Setup step.


# Initial TVAlertsManager Extension Setup

Setting up TVAlertsManager to access the Google Spreadsheet.

## First-Time accessing TVAlertsManager

**Step 1:** Navigate the browser to a TradingView chart, open the TVAlertsManager extension by clicking on the TVAlertsManager icon on the Address-bar.  On the first-time clicking on TVAlertsManager after installing the Chrome extension, users are prompted asking to optionally activate the Free Trial as can be seen below:

Users can choose to immediately start the Trial 14-day offer or skip the Trial.  It is possible to activate the free 14-day trial later.

Clicking on the button 'Start Trial' button activates the 14-day trial and will show a confirmation pop-up as seen below:

If the 14-day trial has been started, click on the  'Close' button to continue setting up TVAlertsManager.

Note: This will also hide the TVAlertsManager pop-up.&#x20;

If the free 14-day trial is not wanted at this time, click on the 'Skip Trial' button.

## Connecting TVAlertsManager to the Google spreadsheet:

To enter the  Google spreadsheet details into TVAlertsManager, click on 'Setting' tab.

During the 'Google Spreadsheet Prerequisite' instructions while viewing the Google Drive Sharing pop-up, the step detailed clicking the 'Copy Link' button and suggested pasting this into a notepad.  If this copied URL is not present in the clip-board, please go back to that step and copy the link to the clip-board.

**Step 1:** Navigate the browser to a TradingView chart, open the TVAlertsManager extension by clicking on the TVAlertsManager icon on the Address-bar, then click on the 'Setting' tab as shown below:

On the Settings page, click in the '**Google spreadsheet ID for saving alerts**' text-box and paste the Google Shared-link copied into the clipboard earlier.&#x20;

**Please note:** The **"Use same Google spreadsheet ID for saving and loading alerts?"** is by default checked.  Only if users want to work off different spreadsheets for saving and loading should this check-mark can be unchecked.\
**For new users we recommend leaving the "Use same Google spreadsheet ID for saving and loading alerts?" at the default setting (checked)**.

**Step 2:** Click in the text-box labelled  '**The name of the sheet for saving alerts'**.  Upon clicking away from the 'Google spreadsheet ID for saving alerts' text-box, TVAlerts Manager attempts to connect to the Google Sheet to check access.

When access is working correctly (any user with the URL has access), TVAlertsManager will update the display stating "<mark style="color:green;">Access to the spreadsheet is verified.</mark>"&#x20;

If there is any issue at this time as indicated by a red warning message below the text-box, please re-check the Google Spreadsheet sharing permissions are set correctly and refer to the instructions in the prior  'Google Spreadsheet Prerequisite' found within the 'Installation Requirements' section.

An example error for incorrect permissions is shown below for reference.

If access to the Google spreadsheet was successful, for a new installation of TVAlertsManager, it is automatically activated with a 14-day free Premium trial which after expiry will fall-back to the Free-plan.  Details of the subscription benefits and the Free-plan functionality can be found in the next section "TVAlertsManager Subscriptions".

We recommend reading the "TVAlertsManager Subscriptions" page before attempting to use TVAlertsManager as certain limitations will be enforced after the 14-day trail period expires. &#x20;

When access is working, click into the '**Name of the Google Spreadsheet**' text-box then type in the name of the Google Spreadsheet sheet TVAlertsManaaer will use.  In this guide the label used was '**TVAlerts**'.

Below the Google Spreadsheet settings page is filled in.   The last step is to click outside of the '**The name of the sheet for saving alerts**' text-box.  It is suggested to click on the top read-only text-box '**Your TradingView ID**' so the extension window does not hide if clicking outside of the extension pop-up area.

After a few seconds the display should update as per the example below:

**Congratulations, TVAlertsManager is now ready for use.**


# Overview

TVAlertsManager subscription information is explained in this section.

If you want to use the Free plan, it is possible to skip the Free 14 Day Premium Trial Activation.  If this is the case, skip to the Extension Operation section.

A subscription plan can be added at any time.

## Free 14 Day Premium Trial Activation:&#x20;

All new users receive ONE FREE 14 day trial of the TVAlertsManager Premium subscription upon loading the extension for the first time and activating this free trail.  Users will be able to access all TVAlertsManager features for free for 14 days.  No credit card or subscription required.

The Free plan is limited to 100 alert **saves** per month.  Alert save counts are tracked per user, per month, and reset each month.  Users can save up to 100 alerts from TradingView to the spreadsheet in a month.  Free plan users are notified, and an alert message is displayed when exceeding the 100 alert save count maximum.

The Free plan is limited to 100 alert **loads** per month.  Alert load counts are tracked per user, per month, and reset each month.  Users can load up to 100 alerts from the spreadsheet to TradingView in any 14 day period.  Free plan users are notified, and an alert message is displayed when exceeding the 100 alert load count.

After either the 14 day trial; or a subscription level has expired, users are downgraded to the Free plan.\
The Free plan has no expiry.


# Checking Subscription Level

TVAlertsManager subscription information is below.

To view the subscription level, open a TradingView chart, click on the TVAlertsManager extension icon on the Address-bar, then click the Settings tab.

The expiration date of the last subscription is shown on the Settings tab.

Users can decide to upgrade to Premium or Enterprise plans on the TVAletsManager [website](https://www.tvalertsmanager.com/shop/premium-subscription/).

**NOTE:** A page refresh \<CRTL> + \<R> of the browser while displaying a TradingView chart is needed to re-fetch TVAlersManaer subscription data.

## Over-usage Error Message example:

When a user reaches a usage count limit, an error message is displayed such as in the example below:

# Premium Subscription

A TVAlertsManager Premium subscription allows access to all features for a single TradingView account and is limited to a 5 minute Automation web-hook interval.  Users can purchase a Premium subscription on the website [here](https://www.tvalertsmanager.com/shop/premium-subscription/).

TVAlertsManager uses automation to enable and disable subscriptions, so after a subscription has been purchased please allow up to 1 hour for access to be granted.  Simply load the extension, point your browser to TV and click the Settings tab to view subscription data.

When a TVAlertsManager Premium subscription is active, the status will be as shown below:

# Enterprise Subscription

A TVAlertsManager Enterprise subscription allows access to all features of Premium, however allows use by multiple TradingView accounts and at 1 minute Automation web-hook intervals. # Settings

The Settings tab allows users to increase productivity with quick "on the fly" spreadsheet and sheet changes.

The Settings tab is the **first tab to configure once loading the extension**.  It contains the following:\
**- Subscription Data** \
**- Spreadsheet and Sheet** **inputs**

**Your Tradingview ID to access the TVAlertsManager:** Your Tradingview ID is gathered through the browser with the subscription being verified to the backend server. Active subscriptions will be shown in blue. Please note: when a subscription is purchased it may take up to 30 minutes for this to reflect in the Settings tab.

**Google spreadsheet ID for saving alerts:** This form field is where you will input or change the spreadsheet link. You can paste the spreadsheet link into the field, then wait for confirmation from the extension that "Access to the spreadsheet is verified". You can always click in the form field, then click anywhere on the extension to prompt the extension to verify access. For any issues with spreadsheet permissions please refer to the "Spreadsheet Permissions" section.

**The name of the sheet for saving alerts:** This form field is where you will input or change the sheet name. The sheet name determines which sheet you will save or load alerts off of. You can paste the sheet name into the field, then wait for confirmation from the extension that the sheet is present in the spreadsheet. If the sheet is not present, the extension will create it when saving alerts. You can always click in the form field, then click anywhere on the extension to prompt the extension to verify whether the sheet exists or not.

If the sheet is present in the spreadsheet, the extension will return the text "sheet is present in the spreadsheet" and you would be able to save and load alerts to/from the sheet.

If the sheet is not present in the spreadsheet, the extension will return the text "sheet is missing in the spreadsheet and will be created when saving alerts". If the sheet is not present, you would not be able to load alerts off the sheet and would only be able to save alerts and the extension will create the spreadsheet.

Please note that by default the checkmark for **"Use same Google spreadsheet ID for saving and loading alerts?"** will be checked. If users want to work off different spreadsheets for saving and loading this checkmark can be unchecked and separate spreadsheets and sheet names can be used.

# Alerts

The Alerts tab allows traders to save and load alerts.

The Alerts tab contains the following:\
**- Save alerts** button: which saves alerts from TradingView to the Google spreadsheet.\
**- Load alerts** button: which loads alerts from the Google Spreadsheet and loads them in TradingView.

## **Saving TradingView Alerts (to TVAlertsManager Spreadsheet)**

Saving TradingView alerts into the Google Spreadsheet, allows easy checking or (bulk) editing of the alerts.&#x20;

**Save alerts button:** This button will save the alerts shown in the TradingView alerts tab to the Google spreadsheet.  To save **ALL** TradingView alerts, please ensure that none of the built-in TradingView filters or the TradingView alerts Search box is populated with a search creteria.  Built-in TradingView filters are found under the "Show Alerts" section of the Alerts pop-up menu.  There is "Active", "Current symbol" and "Current time interval" alert options that filter alerts based on the check-boxes selected.

Example: If the current chart is on BTCUSDT and the user selects "Current symbol", only alerts for the BTCUSDT trading pair will be displayed.  This can be very helpful to only save specific alerts.

Once the **"Save alerts"** button is pressed, TVAlertsManager will process all alerts shown in the alerts tab and a confirmation will be shown asking the user if they want to save alerts to the spreadsheet.&#x20;

Press the "OK" button to confirm saving alerts to the spreadsheet.  Once confirmed, the alerts will be processed and saved to the spreadsheet on the sheet selected.  In the below example a test alert was saved.  Users can click the **"Click to save the log"** button at anytime to save the log.

## **Loading TVAlertsManager Spreadsheet Alerts to TradingView**

Loading (edited or newly created) alerts from the Google Spreadsheet, back into TradingView saves time.&#x20;

**Load alerts button:** This button will load alerts from the existing Google spreadsheet defined in the TVAlertsManager's Settings, loading them into TradingView.

This process will either edit the existing alerts on the TradingView website, or where a TradingView alert with the same alert-name is not matched in the Google Spreadsheet, TVAlertsManager will add a new alert in the TradingView website, with the alert settings as the defined in the Google Spreadsheet.

Once the **"Load alerts"** button is pressed, TVAlertsManager will process all alerts on the spreadsheet with the "SYNC" check-box in column "A" ticked.  Alerts with the "SYNC" checkbox not ticked will be ignored and not processed to be added or edited on the TradingView website.

**HINT: Selecting column "A" by clicking on the column selector, then pressing SPACE will either remove all the ticks or will add ticks for all alerts in the SYNC check-box(es).**

A confirmation pop-up will be shown asking the user if they want to save alerts to the spreadsheet.&#x20;

Press the "OK" button to confirm loading alerts to Tradingview. Once confirmed, the alerts will be processed and loaded to Tradingview. In the below example a test alert was loaded. Users can click the **"Click to save the log"** button at anytime to save the log.

# Tools

The Tools tab allows users to take back their time with additional time-saving features.

The Tools tab contain few options to help users troubleshoot any problems with their TVAlertsManager installation / updates and few other handy features explained below.

## Set Names (Premium Subscription only)

This option *(for premium subscribers only)* can set names for all your unnamed alerts. Quite handy feature for newbies who forget to name their alerts appropriately in first place!

## Delete all Alerts

This option can delete *all* alerts from your TradingView alerts list. Use with caution if you haven't saved your spreadsheet or don't have any backup.

## Clear Indicators Data

This option can clear your TVAlertsManager indicator parameters data and help user start afresh in case of any errors faced after TVAlertsManager update/installation.

## Clear All

This option can help clear your browser cache along with all the TVAlertsManager indicator parameters and options.  Use it wisely as it will default all settings.  TVAlertsManager will need to be set-up again as if the extension was just installed!


# Advanced Features


# Filters

The Filters tab allows traders to save time when managing alerts via built-in filtering.

In the Filters tab, there are different filtering options available for users to save / load their alerts based on their selected preferences.

This is useful when only wanting to change or update just certain alerts.  Where there is a large number of alerts, this option reduces TVAlertsManager's processing work-load, thus saves times when loading or saving alerts, limiting the processing to a sub-set of alerts.

Users can choose to sort their alerts based on 3 filter choices selectively:\
\- Alert name\
\- Ticker name\
\- Exchange of their choice

**For example:**  The user desires to save / load alerts with only the ticker name containing BTC, while at the same time limiting the BTC ticker alerts to be processed to only those related to a certain exchange such as ByBit.  This can be accomplished by entering into the 'If ticker contains' text-box 'BTCUSD' and entering into the 'If exchange contains' text-box 'bybit'.

**Note:**  TVAlertsManager is not case-sensitive.  Upper-case or lower-case works either way, with the same results.

# Troubleshooting

This section details some known issues users may face and offers the relevant fix or work-around.

If you encounter an error message or have a problem, try use the web-browser search option and type a part of the error message text or the word/s about the issue you are facing with TVAlertsManager and the web-browser will help locate the answer if it is documented on this page.

## **1) Error Message:** TradingView Authorization Required

**Solution:** Please open or refresh the TradingView\.com chart page (using CTRL+R), then re-open the extension to reload your TradingView data.

## **2) Load problems for alerts on rows 98\~99 of the Google Spreadsheet.**

This issue can occur then TradingView and TVAlertsManager has got out of synchronisation with the alerts parameters.  For instance, this commonly happens when a TradingView indicator has been updated and has new parameters that TVAlertsManager is not aware of.

**Solution #1:** Try the following:

1. Delete the indicator from your chart
2. In TVAlertsManager, go to Tools then click the 'Clear indicators data' and then 'Clear Cache'
3. Re-add indicator to chart (and favorite it)
4. Re-run the save then load process.

This will most likely fix the issue in parsing.

**Solution #2:** If the issue still exists after the above, set the tick in cells 98-99 of the Google Spreadsheet as it requires processing so a tick must be in these two check-boxes to resolve the synchronisation issue.

## **3)** After each indicator update clients must do the following -

* In TVAlertsManager, from the Tools tab, click on 'Clear indicators data', then refresh the chart by pressing CTRL+R on the keyboard.
* Delete the TradingView indicators from the chart, then add the latest version of the indicator back onto the chart
* Create a manual template alert and push this into to new sheet of the Google Spreadsheet
* Work off a new template alert to create the alerts

## **4) Error Message:** There value of "indicator parameter" to set "undefined" is not boolean demanded for checkbox A Boolean value is either true or false.

**Solution:**  Double-check the Google Spreadsheet indicator parameters, ensuring a check-box is present for the alert that is causing the "indicator parameter" error.

## **5) Error message: The Alert does not have a condition to activate.**

This problem occurs when the extension tries to set alert data in TradingView (when clicking the 'load alerts' button), but in the data from the TVAlertsManager spreadsheet when it sent the column data to TradingView, TradingView reported that the indicator's field is incorrect.  Thus TradingView returns the column  "condSource" or it is empty in this alert when it must be populated with a value.

**Solution:**  Double-check the Google Spreadsheet indicator parameters, ensuring the alerts column data is filled in as expected and is not empty or that it is missing.

## **6) Error Message:  The item in the list with the value "###" was not found.**

**Solution:**  Double-check the Google Spreadsheet indicator parameters that all the parameters are correct and the values are as TradingView would expect, then clear indicators data & re-try the operation.

## **7) Error Message:  Alert may trigger differently from what you expect.**

**Solution:** Within TradingView, this error is seen when the charts scale is using a Logarithmic scale.\
Turn off the Logarithmic scale on the TradingView chart, then click “Got it” on the prompt, then click “Continue anyway”.

## **8) Issue:** Somehow it doesn't load psar configs and for Bybit it didn't load anything due to pair syntax errors.  When you save alerts, you get different pairs than when you upload.

**Fix** - Save all alerts firstly to master sheet before working with TVAM

## **9) Error Message:**  Error when creating the alert.  Error: The ticker "..." was not found.

**Solution:** Make sure the TradingView indicator has been added to the chart where you are working on your alerts, then only try to load / save it through TVAlertsManger.

## **10) Error Message:** The alert does not have a condition to activate.

This is caused when the indicator source is blank.

**Solution:** Please check the indicator conditions, fix alert and retry.

## **11) Error message:**  Error: There value of "\*\*\*" is not number demanded for input.

Or TEST2: error when edit the alert.  There value of "keltner channels multiplier" to set 1٫5" is not number demanded for input.

**Solution:** The spreadsheet's alert parameter has a comma, then TradingView is expecting a decimal (instead of comma) for this value.  In this case, it should be '1.5' and not '1,5'.\
Correct the value and re-try the operation.

## **12) Error message:  Error to set properties.  Can't set "\*\*\*" to "\*\*\*"**

**Solution:** Make sure you are using the correct sheet and indicator is added to the chart

## **13) Error message: Error: Alert dialog hidden?**

**Solution:** Refresh the page by pressing CTRL+R on the keyboard then, and do not move browser away from TradingView page while you re-attempt the operation.  This includes not switching to a different tab in the browser.

## **14) Error message: The item in the list with the value "\*\*\*" was not found.**

**Solution:** Clear all cache/indicators data from TVAlertsManager, then reload the Google spreadsheet making sure the missing value is entered prior to attempting to load it back on TradingView.

## **15) Error message** - "Alert is not in loading list. Ignored"

**Fix** - Alert not in loading list - means it was not checked in the sheet under SYNC Tab. Make sure to check it and then reload.

## **16) Error message: Error to load "\*\*\*" alert parser to user spreadsheet:  The time limit for processing the request.  Contact support.  Error: could not handle the request.**

**Solution:** Reload the web-page by pressing CTRL+R on the keyboard then try re-run the operation.

## **17) Error message:  Error to load "\*\*\*" alert parser to the user spreadsheet.  Error: getting options for load alert parser.**

The TVAlertsManager extension didn't get the ID of the spreadsheet from saved options?

**Solution:** Check the spreadsheet settings are correct in the TVAlertsManager 'Settings' tab, and if necessary also recheck the spreadsheet permissions are correct as defined in the [Google Spreadsheet Prerequisite](/installation/google-spreadsheet-prerequisite) installation section.

## **18) General Fix: After indicator updates, where the indicator fields change.**

&#x20;After an indicator update, prior alerts will only be able to be saved to the Google spreadsheet as they are made on an older version of the indicator used.  They should be used for reference only and as such they will NOT be able to be loaded back into TradingView if any fields have changed in the indicator update.

Once the old alerts are saved to a spreadsheet, update and remake the alerts on the new indicator settings.

This can be done by doing the following.

1. Click on the ;Tools; tab on TVAlertsManger
2. Click on 'Clear indicators data'
3. Delete the indicator from the TradingView chart and save the chart.
4. Reload the browser by pressing CTRL+R on the keyboard.
5. Re-add the indicator that was updated by searching for it in the TradingView Indicators pop-up (it is helpful to favorite the new indicator).  Once the new indicator has been added to chart, update the TradingView Indicator's settings to match any of the settings used prior or matching the values  from the Google Spreadsheet that want to be retained.
6. Make a test alert on any chart with the indicator.  Be sure to double check your indicator settings!
7. Save the test alert to A NEW spreadsheet being sure to change the spreadsheet name in the 'Settings' tab first.

Now the new alert format (which may include new alert fields or conditions) will be known and can be used to input settings and reload the indicator into TradingView.  Use any old alerts for reference and it may require adding additional inputs learned from the test alert saved in a prior step.

## **19) Error message:  Error: The indicator "\*\*\*"** parameters haven't opened.

**Solution:** Refresh the page once by pressing CTRL+R on the keyboard then retry while not moving the browser away from TradingView page.  This includes not switching to another tab.

## **20) Error message: Error: The alert parameters window did not open.**

**Solution:** Check that the desired indicator on present on the TradingView chart and within the first four indicators applied into the TradingView chart.

In the example above there is 6 indicators on this chart.  But the chart height is not enough to show them all so they are hidden (or collapsed).  Nothing can be done with them in this state, and as such the extension can't do anything too.

This error also can also mean that the indicators are either on the chart hidden as above, or the indicator isn't on the chart at all.  After expanding the browser, or panel frame, click on the 'Show' drop-down arrow button, or open the TradingView alerts panel and ensure a TradingView alert's setting pop-up dialogue can be displayed correct.  It is possible the pop-up 'Alerts Settings' window is blocked by something such as Ad-Blocker related extensions.  It is recommended to disable Ad-Blockers for the TradingView\.com URL.  If operating an Ad-Blocker, whitelist the tradingview\.com URL.
